USA Takes First Place in World Gaming Tournament for Atlantica
Los Angeles – Dec. 17, 2009 – Shocking gamers around the world, the United States – typically the underdog in gaming tournaments – took the gold at the Game & Game World Championship Tournament (GNGWC) for Atlantica Online this year. Atlantica Online, the popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) from Ndoors Interactive, was part of the four-month long intensive tournament which took place in eight regions world-wide.
The Grand Final match of the Game & Game World Championship occurred in Pusan Bexco, Korea where sixteen of the best contestants from Europe, Vietnam, North America, Korea, South America, China, Japan and Thailand came together and divided into four groups, competing for the ultimate glory of reigning champion. One by one the competition fell, but standing strong at the end of the final match was United States Citizen known in the gaming world as “RobinSwan”, stomping out his closest competitor; “Liu” from China.
“Atlantica Online is an immersive and eccentric MMORPG that transports gamers on a voyage through the Seven Wonders of the World,” said Peter Kang, CEO, Ndoors. “We felt it was the perfect game for a world-wide tournament, and are very proud to announce that the winner, ‘RobinSwan’, is one of our United States players, claiming victory at the Grand Final in November by using the Shaman’s magic skill in Atlantica Online, ‘Noble Sacrifice,’ winning 3:1.”
Atlantica Online is a strategic turn-based MMORPG that combines innovative combat with profound character and party development, as well as city and country management.
