Easter Eggs?

Friday, April 7th, 2006

As I sit here listening to the Evangelion theme song I am reminded by my compatriot, Romie, that this is indeed April. The month of fools and Easter. Or perhaps the whole fact of rabbits hiding eggs for children was in fact an April Fools joke to start out with? Idle speculation? Or a conspiracy in the works for eons? Yes, I might’ve just driven myself crazy listening to Eva music for too long. But in the spirit of Easter I’ve hidden an old flash file that some of you might just happen to remember out there. Why yes, it would happen to be about eggs in fact. No, it is not hidden in a picture this time, in particular the previous pages picture. ^_^

If you want a hint: Maybe you should read the footer

Also since Easter Eggs seems to be the topic of this article, heres a link to all the known (well at least a good number) esater eggs in the anime dvds out there. I’d like to thank the good folks at Anime on DVD for actually compiling such a list.

Editor’s Note

Spring has sprung! And Easter is almost here. Religious or not, we all love the candy, the egg hunting, the basket getting, and the big family feast. Of course, we all know, the Easter Eggs we love the most are the ones hidden in the DVDs! Not that I can ever find any. Yeah.. I sucked at egg hunting too. -_-A question was brought up to me and my anime club the other day. I actually had to sit back and think about it. What anime titles do you consider rare or hard to find? For a lot of us, if it hasn’t been licensed, we download it. So we really don’t know of any rare and hard to find, unless it’s more of a classic title.

So, if someone approached you and said that they were planning on opening an anime and comic shop and told you of their grand splendors, what would you tell them when asked, “What do you consider rare or hard to find titles?” I personally couldn’t think of any titles, but I did express to him how frustrating it was for a place to sells or rents DVDs to not have a complete series. Have you ever rented volumes one thru five of something and then they not have volume six?

Now that you’ve at least thought about the question… maybe only entertained it for a few brief seconds, email me! Let me know what you consider to be rare and hard to find titles!

Grated rind of one lemon or orange (optional)

Heat oil to 350ºF. In a large bowl, combine sweet potatoes, mochiko, sugar, and salt; mix well. Combine water and grated rind; add to sweet potato mixture. Mix well. Divide dough into three or four portions. Wrap each portion in plastic wrap and shape into a 2 x 1 x 8-inch rectangle. Cut each rectangle into 1/2-inch slices. Fry a few slices at a time in hot oil. Cook until golden brown; drain well. Makes about 4 dozen fritters.

Sensitive Pornograph

Friday, April 7th, 2006

By Andromeda Sensitive Pornograph features two short love stories of the yaoi persuasion. The first is a comedy type story about two manga artists, Sono and Seiji. They each admired the other’s work and what luck that they would meet and have tea. This starts off a relationship that was unexpected by Seiji. After having become comfortable with it, he hears a nasty rumor about Sono, who everyone thinks is female. Confused and upset he goes to confront his new lover.

The second story is about a college student, Ueno, who is a pet sitter. Having gotten a call from the agency, he heads over to his next assignment, to watch a rabbit. But it’s not a rabbit at all that is in need of sitting. Ueno is now caught up in a twisted love game between Aki and his master. Will he cave and be a part of it, or will he leave and risk running into trouble with this “master”?

The artwork is quite beautiful. I love how Sono has that slight feminine look yet still very male. The attention to the eyes when portraying emotion was wonderful. In a lot of instances, it is over down. When it comes to the intimate scenes I was pleasantly surprised to find that the guys actually sounded like guys. Then again, I think this is the first yaoi hentai I’ve seen, so it could very well be like this with all of them.

The only disappointment I could find with t his was that the stories were too short! I wanted more!

And as I’ve mentioned, this is yaoi and its hentai. So for all of you under the age of 18… NO NO!!
